| Trust and security are always a priority for HALFAR®. As experts in bags, backpacks and luggage, we are very conscious of our responsibility when it comes to the fabrication of materials, but also for the working conditions in which the products are made. That is the reason for the introduction in 2008 of the tested materials label. |
| Tested materials - acknowledged by an independent lab Thanks to an intelligent security guarantee system and to numerous tests in their facilities in Germany and China, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services make sure that Halfar System GmbH is working in conformity with all legislations (LFGB and REACH) at each step of and after the production. Moreover all of Halfar System collaborators are regularly trained by Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services GmbH to constantly adapt the quality guarantee system to evolving requirements and standards in the market. |

| Halfar works with quality label c-mark The main objective of the c-mark programme is to track all traces of materials that are recognized as polluting according to European standards. The c-mark label‘s requirements are thus determined for components and end products, and they are regularly adapted to current standards by independent experts. |
| The BSCI Code of conduct The BSCI Code of Conduct is based on the most important international Conventions protecting workers’ rights such as the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conventions and other important Declarations of the United Nations on child labour and the prohibition of any form of discrimination against women, the OECD guidelines for multinational enterprises and the UN Global Compact. Its objective is to ensure that specific social and environmental standards are respected. Suppliers also have to make sure that the Code of Conduct is respected by subcontractors who take part in any step of the production process. The following are the key standards: |
