The History
1986. Establishment of the company by Armin Halfar. Individual production of plastic and leather bags.
1990. Development and production of bags for medical emergencies and bags for safety devices.
1993. Rental of larger space in Bielefeld city centre. Development of the series production. Increase in the staffing level to ten.
1994. Development of production capacities in Asia.
1998. Development of the production possibilities with a site in the Czech Republic.
1999. Laying of the foundation stone for our own company premises at Ludwig-Erhard-Allee 23 in Bielefeld. Premiere as an exhibitor at the PSI (promotional products trade fair with global importance).
2000. Dedication and occupation of the new company premises in the Ludwig-Erhard-Allee, more than 23 employees for the first time.
2001. Issuing of the first pro design catalogue for bags and backpacks in the promotional products field. Content: 28 pages.
2003. JCK-Holding GmbH Textil KG is a Halfar System GmbH shareholder.
2005. Extension of the company premises with 2.600 sq. m. warehouse and office space. The pro design catalogue expands to 160 pages and 130 models, winner of the Promotional Gift Award for the FlapBag.
2006. Development of an internal refinement stage with embroidery and transfer printing, the company now has more than 42 employees. The range expands to include more than 150 items, the Promotional Gift Award in Bronze is awarded for the TyreBag.
2007. Significant extension of the embroidery division, new sister companies Günther Fassbender GmbH with location in Remscheid and mbw Vertriebsges. mbH with a location in Wanderup, North Germany.
2008. Development of an in-house digital print division with automatic coating of tarpaulin. For the first time more than 60 employees at Halfar. Halfar becomes a mono brand after years of using pro design® and tec design®. This is the consequence of the development of Halfar´s mission statement.
2009. Halfar's quality management system is recognized by Bureau Veritas, the leading international testing laboratory. Halfar becomes a member of the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). Furthermore, Halfar number one supplier for promotional bags, creates a 5 day express delivery service known as ExpressBag.
2010. Halfar works with c-mark Bureau Veritas' quality label.
